What is Springfield 2051: This project is a community-building process that will create a new roadmap for Springfield and Clark County. It includes developing an actionable implementation plan, supporting work already taking place, unifying stakeholders, aligning resources, and creating community-driven initiatives to shape the future of Springfield and Clark County. Led by a coalition of citizens, the 15-month project is also supported by state and local government, philanthropic entities, businesses, and nonprofit organizations.
2051 also marks Springfield’s 250th birthday.
Why it matters: According to the initiative’s website, “The project will result in a roadmap to strategically position Springfield and lead our community toward a desired future.”
